Kota Serang Segera Miliki Jalur KRL ke Jakarta

Bantentoday – Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Serang secara resmi telah menandatangani kerja sama dengan PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) DAOP I Jakarta untuk pengembangan jalur Kereta Rel Listrik (KRL) rute Jakarta–Serang–Rangkasbitung.

Penandatanganan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari pertemuan yang dilakukan selama bulan Ramadan lalu, antara Wali Kota Serang dan Wakil Presiden Direktur PT KAI DAOP I Jakarta. Dalam pertemuan tersebut, usulan pembangunan jalur KRL disampaikan sebagai bagian dari upaya Pemkot Serang untuk mempercepat pembangunan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah.

“InsyaAllah Kota Serang akan memiliki KRL. Ini merupakan bentuk permohonan dan usulan Pemkot Serang dalam rangka pembangunan serta peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi,” ungkap Wali Kota Serang, Budi, usai penandatanganan.

Ia menambahkan bahwa dalam pembangunan jalur KRL ini, Pemkot Serang juga akan bekerja sama dengan pihak PLN. “InsyaAllah nanti PLN juga akan melakukan MoU dengan Pemkot Serang,” imbuhnya.

Menurut Budi, kehadiran KRL akan sangat membantu masyarakat, khususnya dalam hal efisiensi biaya transportasi dan pengurangan kemacetan lalu lintas. “Ini sangat irit dan mengurangi kemacetan. Dampaknya tentu sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat Kota Serang,” tuturnya.
