Bantentoday – Menteri Perdagangan Budi Santoso menyampaikan, mahasiswa dapat berperan sebagai enabler bagi para pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Misalnya, dengan menjadi pendamping dan katalisator UMKM di daerah untuk menembus pasar global. Salah satu bentuk konkret kontribusi tersebut dapat dilakukan melalui program UMKM Berani Inovasi, Siap Adaptasi Ekspor (UMKM BISA Ekspor).

Menurut Mendag Busan, fleksibilitas dan semangat perubahan yang dimiliki mahasiswa sangat tepat untuk dikontribusikan kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat. “Nanti ketika turun ke desa, adik-adik dapat mengidentifikasi desa-desa mana saja yang siap untuk ekspor. Tugas berikutnya adalah mencari UMKM yang punya potensi ekspor dari desa-desa tersebut. Kemudian, informasikan kepada kami, agar kami bantu mencarikan pembelinya. Dengan demikian, UMKM Bisa Ekspor benar-benar bisa terwujud,” ujar Mendag Busan saat menghadiri Upacara Pengarahan dan Penerjunan Mahasiswa untuk Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) UGM Periode II 2025 di kampus UGM, Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), Jumat, (20/6).
